About
Hall farm is set in the beautiful village of Ashby Cum Fenby. Its not where you would expect to find a wedding venue hidden away at the back of a tiny village, but it works perfectly.
Hall Farm wedding venue is set in open grounds and at its centre is a beautiful Barn conversion. You get a real sense of its past with original wooden beams and brick faced buildings that have been beautifully maintained. Many of the internal as well as external features are in keeping with its original barn days.
Photography
Wedding photography at Hall Farm is an absolute pleasure, it is surrounded by open fields, old barns and has a beautiful Lake.
Indoor Photography
The main reception room is the barn, during the daylight hours the barn is lit by a huge south facing window that fills the barn with natural light and in photography makes photographs of the reception and speeches a delight, there is also a balcony that over looks the barn floor from which unique photos can be taken of the reception and tables. adjacent to the main barn is smaller building that opens up into the main barn, this is often used for the ceremony and the night reception dance area, this is quite small in comparison to the barn but the photographs taken here are very intimate and create a great atmosphere to the photos with the low wooden beams and brick facing walls.
With an average wedding reception of 70 guests the only photography challenge is there is often not a great deal of spare space to photograph any large group shoots, this has never been a real issue for us as we have been lucky enough to photograph large groups outside.
Outdoor Photography
Where to start… Hall farm offers a diverse amount of photography opportunities, you have a lake, meadows, open fields, farm tracks, old outbuildings and an intimate court yard.
The court yard is great at keeping all your guests together, its always a lively atmosphere, that is sheltered from the wind and has plenty of outdoor furniture to keep your guests comfortable whilst enjoying drinks and canapés.
The four seasons really do give four looks to the photos, and each and every wedding brings us something new each time we photograph there.
Hall farm is a great venue for photography, especially if you love the outdoor farm barn feel to your photos, it works perfectly for rustic weddings. We always love photographing at Hall Farm and look forward to the next one.
