Terms & Conditions
James Green Studio
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings with James Green Studio and JAM PHOTO LIMITED. “The photographer” refers to James Green. “The client(s)” refers to the individuals named on the booking form. These Terms may only be changed with a written agreement.
The latest version is always available on our website. Please ensure you read these Terms before enquiring or booking.
LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England.
COPYRIGHT
All images are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You may print and share your photos for personal use. Images cannot be altered or used commercially without written permission.
IMAGE BACKUP
Images are backed up for twelve months after the wedding. After this time, clients are responsible for storing their files safely.
PROMOTIONAL USE
With your consent, your images may be used to promote James Green Studio. We will never use images before you receive your full gallery.
LIABILITY
The photographer is not responsible for delays, indirect loss, or issues caused by third parties. Any directions followed during a shoot are at your own risk. Liability for defective work is limited to correcting the issue.
ARTISTIC LICENCE
The photographer has full creative control over poses, locations, composition and editing. Judgment on these decisions is final.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND IMAGES
Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed. Weather, lighting and locations influence the final look. The photographer is not responsible for expressions, décor or guest behaviour that may affect photos.
Group photo organisation must be managed by the couple or a nominated person. The photographer is not responsible for missed group arrangements.
PACKAGE CONTENTS
Products included in packages must be ordered within twelve months of the wedding. Items ordered after this period may incur additional fees.
BOOKING FEE
A £300 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure the date. This is deducted from the final balance.
PAYMENT
The remaining balance is due before the wedding day. Late payments may result in the cancellation of services.
FORCE MAJEURE
If the photographer is unable to attend due to illness, injury or other unforeseen events, we will try to help source a replacement. If full cancellation occurs, any payments made will be refunded in full.
If your wedding cannot go ahead due to extreme circumstances such as fire, flooding or a pandemic, any payments made minus the booking fee may be moved to a new date. If we are unavailable for the new date, a refund will be issued minus a £500 fee. Refunds may need to be paid in instalments depending on circumstances.
CANCELLATION
Once your date is secured, we reserve the full day exclusively for you. As the date approaches, it becomes unlikely we can rebook the day. For this reason, cancellation fees apply.
Booking fee
Always non-refundable.
Cancelled between one and three years before the wedding
£200 cancellation fee.
Cancelled within one year of the wedding
£500 cancellation fee.
All payments made before cancellation are non-refundable. Cancellations must be made in writing. We strongly recommend wedding insurance.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND IMAGES
Physical prints may naturally fade over time depending on display conditions and materials. This is not the responsibility of James Green Studio. Clients are responsible for storing and displaying printed products appropriately to preserve longevity.
DELIVERY OF EDITED IMAGES
We aim to deliver the full edited gallery within six to eight weeks of the wedding. This timeframe is an estimate rather than a guarantee, as editing duration can vary depending on workload and seasonal demand. If the gallery is expected to take longer than eight weeks, we will contact you with an updated estimated completion date and keep you informed throughout the process.
PRICES
All prices are subject to change. VAT is not charged.
REFUNDS
Refunds are not offered for technically acceptable images or for unused items within packages. Advance payments are non-refundable.
CHANGE OF DATE
If you need to change your date, a £200 rescheduling fee applies.
If we are not available for the new date, it will be treated as a cancellation, and the cancellation policy will apply.
If the new date is more than twelve months after the original booking, current pricing will apply.
TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS
If your package includes two photographers and only one is able to attend on the day, £250 will be refunded after the wedding.
RETOUCHING
Additional retouching is available at an extra cost. Editing decisions are made at the photographer’s discretion.
RAW IMAGES
RAW unedited images are not available to our clients; they do not represent our work style and portfolio, and can compromise our editing style and reputation. We do edit all usable RAW files, less any duplicates. We can assure you that you will receive all edited versions of all good images we capture, and there will be no images we withhold from you that are deemed good, acceptable images. We delete all RAW images after you have approved your final edits. Only after any image alterations have been made do we then delete them. If you have not requested any image alterations, the RAW files will be deleted after 30 days of you receiving your final images. RAW files are deleted as they consume vast amounts of data on our systems. We do, however, keep a copy of your edited photos for up to 1 year after your wedding date.
STORAGE OF RAW FILES
Raw files are kept for one month after the final gallery is delivered and then deleted.
COMPLAINTS
Complaints must be made in writing within fourteen days of receiving your images.
ALBUMS
Albums included in package options cannot be removed within three months of the wedding. Any related discounts are removed if packages are changed.
DISCOUNTS
Discounts are removed if a package is changed within three months of the wedding.
PRE WEDDING SHOOTS
Pre-wedding shoots must be arranged at least two months before the wedding. If not booked, the cost cannot be refunded.
WEDDING INSURANCE
We strongly recommend taking out wedding insurance to protect your payments.
